Dear Fellow Brunonians,

I wanted to reach out to you, on behalf of our alumni community, to share our care, love, and support during this unimaginably hard moment. There are no right words for a time like this, but I want you to know that you are being held in the hearts of so many people who care deeply about you and about this community.

Over the past week, alumni from around the world have been reaching out with a simple desire to show up for you in myriad ways, especially for those of you who may be away from campus right now.

In that spirit, alumni in several locations have offered to host small gatherings for students. These are unstructured, welcoming spaces for you to be together, to process together, or simply to sit together in community. There is no agenda and no pressure to attend. You are welcome to come on your own or with a family member or friend – whatever feels right to you.

We will continue to add gatherings as plans come together, and we are doing our best to identify alumni hosts in as many places as possible.

Whether or not you choose to participate, I hope it brings a small measure of comfort to know that this is a multigenerational community that cares deeply for you, that wants to support you in this moment, and that will continue to be here for you in the days ahead.
