Colin Donihue

Associate Director for Student Success and Senior Data Analyst

Biography

Colin Donihue (he/him) is the Associate Director for Student Success and Senior Data Analyst. Colin works with the Central Administrative Team and partners throughout the division on data collection, analysis, visualization, and storytelling.

Colin completed his PhD at Yale University in 2016 studying ecology, evolution, and conservation biology. After postdoctoral research positions at Harvard University, Washington University in St. Louis, and the Natural History Museum in Paris France, Colin joined the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society as a Voss Research Fellow. His field research on lizards took him to five continents and has been featured on news outlets ranging from National Geographic to Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!

Colin grew up in Maine and went to Carleton College for undergrad and the University of Michigan for a MSc. If he’s not in his office, Colin is probably outside somewhere, most likely on a walk with his wife (a Brown grad) and son and thinking about their next hiking / camping / biking / kayaking adventure in New England.
