Division of Campus Life

Foster Responsibility

Our community values empathy and care, inclusion and belonging, integrity and social responsibility.

Brown University is committed to fostering a culture of safety and respect, where all community members contribute to an inclusive environment, prevent violence where they can, and hold each other accountable to our community values.

The Division of Campus Life has an important role in helping our community stay committed to our values and to each other. We work proactively to help students, faculty and staff learn how to develop intentional community and resolve conflict. When incidents occur that involve discrimination, harassment, sexual or gender-based misconduct, or potential violations of the Student Code of Conduct, our offices support reporting parties, investigate the allegations and seek accountability.
