Division of Campus Life

Kathleen (Kat) Towne (she/her) started as assistant airector of Financial Operations for the Division of Campus Life in August of 2021. In her role, she oversees a team of three Financial Coordinators and acts as main policy and procedure liaison for the Division of Campus Life.  She manages the internal financial processes for the 18 departments and centers in our division. She serves as the division’s subject matter expert for financial business practices with a focus on ensuring efficient processes while maintaining appropriate financial controls.

Previously Kat worked for the Division of Athletics and Physical Education as the Assistant Business Manager, where she provided financial support for four years.  Prior to Brown, Kat worked at Wagner College, earning her MBA in Management while leading athletic ticketing and marketing operations. 

Kat is a graduate of Fordham University, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science. In her spare time, she loves to play softball and tennis, enjoys the outdoors and nature photography.
