Kathy McNamara is an experienced IT Support Specialist with over 25 years in healthcare with a focus on higher education. Currently serving on the Strategic Assessment and Student Experience Team
in the Division of Campus Life at Brown University, Kathy is skilled in troubleshooting, onboarding, compliance systems, and remote-work technologies.

Her career includes prior roles at South County Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, and Children’s Medical Group, where she developed expertise in medical records management, credentialing, and patient coordination.

Known for her attention to detail, strong communication skills, and
collaborative approach, she is dedicated to using technology to enhance efficiency and
care quality in academic and clinical settings.

Kathy was born and raised in Rhode Island and is married to a Brown Alum. When not working, you will find Kathy road and trail running. Kathy has run many half marathons; her favorite is in Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada.
