SAS Staff, Faculty, and Community Awards

Each year, Student Accessibility Services (SAS) recognizes faculty and staff who exemplify the best in advocating and enhancing accessibility through the Sarah Volante Facilitator Award, Access Ambassador Award, and Collaborative Partner Awards.

SAS Sarah Volante Facilitator Award

The SAS Sarah Volante Facilitator Award is in honor of Brown alum Sarah Volante and her family. This award is given annually to a Brown University administrator or staff who has demonstrated exceptional awareness, inclusiveness, and support for students with disabilities. 

SAS Access Ambassador Award

The SAS Access Ambassador Award is given annually to a Brown University faculty member who has demonstrated exceptional awareness, inclusiveness, and support for students with disabilities in fulfilling Brown University’s academic mission.

Collaborative Partner Awards

The Collaborative Partner Awards are selected by the dedicated staff members of SAS, in recognition of exceptional and innovative collaborations that significantly contribute to expanding opportunities and enhancing the impact of SAS.
